Music Review: Billa 2

Yuvan-Ajith combo have always rocked the music charts and Billa 2 is no different. The album begins with the rocking 'Gang-Gang Gangster', which is likely to be the signature tune of the film. This fast-paced peppy number is rendered by Yuvanshankar Raja and Stefny. This is followed by the melodious 'Idhayam' crooned by Shweta Pandit. It is a soft melodious number which is likely to portray the romantic side of Ajith and the classical flavour is very much appealing.

Yuvanshankar Raja, Tanvi Shah and Suvi Suresh have sung the catchy 'Yedho Mayakkam'. This is a club song with a desi touch. And then comes 'Madurai Ponnu' which will definitely top the charts for sure. This fast-beat peppy number has the right blend of folk and Arabic music. Andrea Jeremiah's vibrant singing makes it addictive. 'Unakkulle Mirugam' is likely to appear when David turns into Billa. The powerful lyrics narrates the realities of life. Ranjith's voice is hardcore and rocky. And finally we have the Billa 2 theme music, which of course is an adapted version of the first part.

Yet another vibrant album from music director Yuvanshankar Raja; the film directed by Chakri Toleti is likely to hit screens in June but we cannot wait anymore now!

Our Pick: Gangster, Madurai Ponnu, Yedho Mayakkam!
